Please note that while booking a trip, you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as well as the cancellation policy and certain limitations of liability. Both parties agree to these Terms and Conditions to resolve any legal or other disputes that may arise during the trip.
I hereby confirm my/our participation in the tour/trek/expedition organized by Mount Mania Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.
Term Definition
- Mount Mania Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., along with its staff and members, is defined as "Mount Mania Treks & Expedition" or "us."
- All clients and visitors are defined as "you" or "your."
- "Trip" means Tour, Trekking, Expedition, and Peak Climbing.
Booking
You can book any trip at any time. We accept bookings via email and WhatsApp. Please note that for expeditions, bookings should be made at least 2 months in advance. For peak climbing, bookings should be made at least 1 month in advance, and for tours and trekking, bookings should be made at least 10 days in advance.
Last Minute Booking
For trips in Nepal, we accept last-minute bookings up to 3 days before the departure date. Full payment by card is required at the time of booking
Note: there is an extra 3.5% processing fee for debit / credit card payments
Payment
To confirm your trip booking, you need to pay a 10% deposit of the total trip cost (non-refundable).
You can pay the remaining amount either in cash (USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SGD) when you arrive in Kathmandu at our office before the trip starts, or by credit card at least 10 days before the trip (Note: there is an extra 3.5% processing fee for debit / credit card payments).
If your trip starts in less than 10 days, we recommend paying the full amount by credit card unless you bring cash for the balance.
Note: Your passport Copy is required to make flight booking, hotel rooms, permit process and or required legal process as per your trip.
Cancellation & Refunds
Mount Mania Treks & Expedition does not charge any additional cancellation fees. Your 10% deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted to us in writing; verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
Following will be charged for cancellation.
- Cancellation of the trip 30 days before the trip departure date– 10% of trip cost (Deposit is non-refundable)
- Cancellation of the trip 20 – 29 Days before the trip departure date- 30% of trip cost
- Cancellation of the trip 15 -19 Days before the trip departure – 50% of trip cost
- Cancellation of the trip 07 or less Days before the trip departure – 100% of trip cost
If you do not show up on the starting day of the trip and fail to inform the company about your absence, 100% of the cost of services booked will be charged. Clients are strongly advised to purchase "Cancel for any Reason” travel insurance at the time of booking.
Please note that no refunds will be given if you voluntarily leave the trip for any reason after it has begun. Additionally, no refunds will be provided for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals, or services not utilized.
Trip cancellation due to any other reason by customer
If you have already paid the full price, we will refund you 90% of the total cost (the 10% deposit is non-refundable). However, we offer to postpone your trip for up to one year without any extra charges. If you decide to do trip after one year and our trip cost has increased, you will need to pay the difference.
Your deposit is valid for 2 years, so you can use it for a future trip in Nepal or transfer it to a friend. You also have the option to switch to a different trip using your paid deposit.
Trip cancels by the Company
If Mount Mania Treks & Expedition cancels your trip, your deposit and payments will be fully refunded. However, if the cancellation is due to civil war or other unpredictable circumstances beyond our control, reasonable expenses that we have already incurred for the trip will be deducted from your deposit.
Passport & Nepal visas
All client must have a valid passport with at least six months validity from return date. Nepalese visa can be obtained from the Nepalese Embassies or Consulate in your country or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visa cost personal responsibility of clients. Insurance
Mount Mania Treks & Expedition is responsible for the insurance of all its staff. However, clients are responsible for their own travel insurance. Clients must submit their insurance policy documents at the time of starting the trip with us.
All travelers must have adequate and valid travel insurance. Your travel insurance must cover accidents, injuries, illnesses, death, and medical expenses (including those related to pre-existing medical conditions), emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue and air ambulance, where applicable), and personal liability. It is also helpful if your insurance covers trip cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage and personal effects. You must carry proof of insurance and produce it when requested by the company employees or suppliers.
Trip Amendment
If we receive a booking amendment request via email, we will make the necessary changes free of charge.
However, if you wish to make amendments within 20 days of the trip departure, there may be additional costs. These costs depend on our arrangements with other parties, such as transportation by airlines, and are based on the airlines' terms and conditions.
Injuries And Evacuation
We will not be liable for any injury, health conditions, emotional issues, or other conditions suffered by the client during the trip. Our package cost does not include personal insurance. Therefore, we advise clients to obtain adequate travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and helicopter evacuation.
Incomplete Trip
We are not liable for any refunds if a trip is incomplete for any reason on the client's side. We pay for the trip upfront to cover expenses for our guide and porter during the trip. If you return early from the trip, you will need to cover any additional hotel, meal, and other expenses yourself.
Acceptance of Risk and Liabilities
Mount Mania Treks & Expedition is dedicated to providing the best service, ensuring your journey is smooth and successful. However, we and our associated organizations are not responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control, such as government restrictions, landslides, road blockages, floods, bad weather, political unrest, flight cancellations or delays, sickness, or accidents. The nature of some of our trips is adventurous and risky, and these may involve personal risk. We would like to inform you that you assume all risks, including damages, injuries, or death, resulting from these natural risks.
I agree to accept all risks associated with this trip and to strictly adhere to the terms and conditions of Mount Mania Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. as mentioned here and in its publications and briefings. It is my responsibility to ensure that, in case of any unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, I will not hold Mount Mania Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., its agents, associates, or employees responsible or liable for any damages.
