Pokhalde Peak Climbing is one of the shortest and easiest trekking peaks in the Everest Region which is situated 12 km southwest of Mount Everest. It is also known as Dolma Ri. During the trekking seasons, this rocky peak is less covered by snow. Despite its lack of any great technical difficulty, it offers trekkers the prospect of reaching 5,780m in elevation and mesmerizing views from the summit, particularly to the South East, North West, and West. Other amazing mountains seen from the summit includes Makalu, Ama Dablam, and Pumori.
The base camp for the peak is established in the valley below the Kongma La Pass (5,535m), which has a turquoise glacial lake in the middle. For the final ascent, you can reach the pass and follow the ridge or you can proceed to the opposite side of the mountain facing Mt Makalu and move towards the top.
You can summit this peak without using any climbing gears like crampons and ice-axes, but only with an assistance of ropes.
