Langtang Valley Trek

Langtang valley trek offers the view of the most amazing valley of Langtang region, where you can visit the Langtang National park and then trek to the end of the valley to view wonderful monastery Kyangjin Gompa and Himalayas. Langtang Valley Trek Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Tribhuvan Int'l Airport, Kathmandu (1320m)

Welcome to Tribhuvan Int’l Airport, Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal! One of the representatives from Mount Mania will be waiting to welcome you with fresh Nepali garlands and then transfer to your hotel by private vehicle. You will meet with trek guide and then brief about your trek.

Day 2Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation

After breakfast in a hotel, we will get ready for our sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley which includes UNESCO declared world heritage sites; Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Your tour will be accompanied by a professional licensed guide and return to the hotel. You will have some free time to shop your trekking gear (if you need) and trek preparation. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m) – 145 km (6-7 hrs)

After breakfast in Hotel, we will start our drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi which is 145 km and takes about 6-7 hours. We drive along the scenic banks of Trishuli River with beautiful views of valleys, pasture, rivers and mountains. After reaching the destination. We will check-in to the hotel and spend the overnight.

Day 4Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m) – 6 hrs

As like last day, first, we will have a breakfast. Then start our trek for the day. At first, the trail ascends for about 2 hours and then a climb for an hour takes us to a bamboo village where we will enjoy our lunch. After that, we walk through leveled trails witnessing a number of bird species in the area as well as beehives hanging on the cliffs. We will have to ascend a steep climb again to finally reach the Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 5Trek to Langtang village (3200m) 6-7 hrs

Not to miss, we will have breakfast. Then, a pleasant walk through the rhododendron and pine forests which takes us to Ghoda Tabela. After having lunch here, we can enjoy the dense forests and herbs in the area. Another walk through a scenic trail finally takes us to the Langtang valley and overnight in Teahouse.

Day 6Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m) 3-4 hrs.

The sixth day is a free time. After breakfast, we will take a walk for 2-3 hours to visit the Kyangjin Gompa at an altitude of 3870m. The final destination of the trek, the Gompa is a serene and beautiful place that allows us to have the scenic views of Mt. Ganchhenpo and Mt. Langtang Lirung. The cheese factory, the monasteries, and the traditional local houses are the main attractions of this short trip. Overnight in Teahouse.

Day 7Explore Kyangjin Ri (4500m) 4-5 hrs

After breakfast, we will spend the whole day exploring Kyangjin Ri which will also help us acclimatize to the high altitude. The trail passes through yak pastures before ascending to Kyangjin Ri. Later, we will get back to Kyangjin Gompa by late afternoon and explore the beautiful monastery while enjoying views of the Himalayas, glaciers, birds, and yaks. We will follow the same trail back to Kyanjin Gompa and spend the night in the same hotel.

Day 8Trek back to Lama Hotel 6-7 hrs

After having a hot breakfast, we will retrace our steps back to Lama Hotel. Most of the trekking today will be downhill as we pass through forests and beautiful Tamang villages. We also get to enjoy a different view of the Himalayas that we had missed climbing up. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 9Trek back to Syabrubesi 5 hrs

After breakfast, we will trek back to our steps through the Bamboo and rhododendron forests to finally reach Syabrubeshi. This is not a long day walk it only takes 5 hours. Enjoy the night at one of the local lodges at Syabrubesi. Enjoy the last dinner together with guide and porter.

Day 10Drive to Kathmandu

After having breakfast in the early morning. We will start our journey back to Kathmandu. Later, we can enjoy the evening walk around Thamel – the tourist spots in the capital city. Our guide will help to find the shop where you can buy souvenirs from Nepal. One of the Mount Mania representatives will invite you to attend a farewell dinner with a cultural show. Enjoy to the fullest.

Day 11Departure

Mount Mania representative will help you to transport to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu by private vehicle before 3 hours to your scheduled flight.
