Tent Peak is also known as Tharpu Chuli. It is situated in the Annapurna region of Nepal at the head of the Annapurna Sanctuary. It was first climbed on (but not summited) by Colonel Jimmy Roberts in 1956 during an exploration of the area prior to a British expedition to Machapuchhre in 1957. The peak was first summited in 1964 by a Japanese group on an expedition to Annapurna South led by Dr. Haruo Higuchi. They climbed the South East Ridge, Alpine Grade AD and this is the sloping skyline to the right of the main photo. The easier North West Ridge, Alpine Grade PD, is to the left of the main photo and was first climbed by Gunter Hauser and a German party in 1965.

Day 5Early morning Hiking to Poonhill (3210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2660m) 6-7 hours

Day 6Trek to Sinuwa (2300m) 6-7 hours

Day 7Trek to Deurali (3200m) 6-7 hours

Day 8Trek to Annapurna base camp (4130m) 4-5 hours

Day 9Trek to Tharpu Chuli Peak Base Camp (4910m) 3-4 hours

Day 10Summit Tharpu Chuli Peak (5653m) and Return back to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) 8-9 hours

Day 11Reserve Day for Contingency

Day 12Explore the hidden valley and Trek back to Bamboo (2400m) 6-7 hours

Day 13Trek to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) (1700m) 5-6 hours

Day 14Trek from Jhinu Danda to Siwai and then Drive back to Pokhara (820m) 5-6 hour

Day 15Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu 6-7 hours
